How Does the Service Work? Our system consultants will talk with you about your current or desired LAN configuration. Based on your business model, your needs, and your concerns, they will work with you to create the best model for your company. Through careful planning, MIS will ensure a smooth setup, seamless transition, and uninterrupted service through a fully reversible and redundant process. The MISappliance will be preconfigured to match your LAN configuration before shipping. All firewall rules and other settings will be preset, personalized, and optimized for your needs. When you receive your MISappliance, you simply plug it in, connect the Ethernet cables, and that’s it! There are no switches to set, no LCD displays to squint at, no “user friendly interfaces” for complex firewall rules, no updates to download. By using its patent pending technology, the MISappliance will automatically and securely communicate with our MISopcenter. Our experts will immediately be notified that you are up and running. The MISopcenter experts will examine your settings to ensure it’s operational, and then begin monitoring, updating, and managing your MISappliance, and your Internet connection constantly. Whenever you have a question or need to make a change to your MISappliance configuration, simply contact our customer support line and our experts will make the necessary changes. Internet security is a cat and mouse game. Every day there are new hackers, new threats, new vulnerabilities and new viruses. It’s our job to keep track of those, and update your MISappliance with countermeasures, new programs, new rules and more intelligence. We “push” the updates to your MISappliances, you don’t need to login to a Web site, download patches or updates, backup your existing configuration, install them, and hope that everything works correctly.
